Providing educational and performing experiences for high school a cappella singers through programs that foster collaboration and connections.

Introducing: Allie Fosnot and Kate Elmendorf!

We are so excited to introduce two new folks who will be working with our students at Nexus 2026 this summer: Allie Fosnot and Kate Elmendorf!

Allison (Allie) Fosnot is an award-winning arranger, composer, producer, and music director whose music aims to create impactful emotional experiences. She is the current music director of The Nor’easters, the 2026 ICCA Champions, and has written many successful arrangements for the group. She creates powerful music that captures raw emotions and works to build synergy between herself and her audience. In Allison’s mind, there is nothing more powerful than singing. She believes that while a single person’s voice can be strong, the moment that power combines with another voice, magic is made. Her mission is to bring that power to life through active participation in a cappella and choral communities, whether that be through arranging, performing, producing, or directing. With a thirst for collaboration and spreading her passion, Allison aims to spread her music within the vocal music community and beyond.

Kate is a professional voice coach based in Philadelphia, specializing in gender-affirming and contemporary voice training. She holds a Master’s in Voice Pedagogy (CCM) from Shenandoah University and a degree in Music Education from Berklee College of Music.

A former public school teacher, Kate is now an Adjunct Associate Professor at Shenandoah University and Temple University. She brings extensive experience as both a performer and director, with appearances at venues like Carnegie Hall and Boston Symphony Hall.

Kate has led masterclasses and judged festivals nationwide, contributed to research on COVID-19’s impact on singers, and is building a growing online audience on YouTube and Instagram as @tinyvoiceteacher.
